TimberTech Advanced PVC Decking

The Highest-Performing Deck Surface We Install — Engineered for Wisconsin

TimberTech Advanced PVC by AZEK is at the top of the decking world, and it earns that position in a very specific way: there is no wood in it. Not a wood core, not wood flour, not a composite blend. It is 100% polymer, capped and colored all the way through the profile.

For a climate that freezes, thaws, refreezes, and then does it again the following week, that matters. A board with no organic fiber has nothing inside it for meltwater to soak into and expand. It won’t rot, cup, splinter, or peel — and it never asks you to sand, stain, or seal it.

M2 Decks & Enclosures installs the full Advanced PVC lineup on custom decks for homeowners across Waukesha, Washington, Walworth, Milwaukee, and Racine County.

Why Advanced PVC Performs in Southeastern Wisconsin

Zero wood fiber, zero freeze-thaw absorption. Our winters run the freeze-thaw cycle dozens of times a season. Advanced PVC simply isn’t part of that fight.

Cool Touch technology. Advanced PVC stays up to 30° cooler than the competition — a real difference on a July afternoon on a west-facing deck, and one your bare feet and your dog will notice. (Every decking product gets warm in direct sun, and darker colors run hotter than lighter ones. If barefoot comfort is a priority, we’ll recommend a lighter color.)

Up to 40% better traction than the competition. Splinter-free, textured, and confident underfoot in spring rain and shoulder-season frost.

Top-rated fire resistance. Depending on the collection, Advanced PVC carries an Ignition Resistant designation, a Class A Flame Spread Rating, and/or WUI Compliance — the best fire performance available in the TimberTech line.

Made in the USA from approximately 60% recycled material.

Design freedom no composite can match. Advanced PVC is heat-bendable, which means curved deck edges, radiused stairs, and sweeping picture frames are genuinely possible. It also comes in multiple board widths, so multi-width patterning becomes a design tool rather than a limitation.

The Advanced PVC Collections

Vintage Collection®

Exotic Hardwoods

Our most-requested Advanced PVC line. The Vintage Collection captures sought-after premium hardwoods through a refined wire-brushed finish and multitonal color blending with true highlights and lowlights. Complex, variable coloring means no two boards read the same — the way real exotic hardwood behaves.

It is also the most design-flexible product TimberTech makes: Multiwidth Decking is available in narrow, standard, and wide profiles across all colors, so you can lay a wide field with narrow accent runs, or picture-frame in a contrasting width.

  • Colors: Weathered Teak®, Coastline®, Cypress®, Mahogany, English Walnut®, Dark Hickory
  • Widths: Narrow 3.5″ (1″ thick), Standard 5.5″ (1″ thick), Wide 7.25″ (1″ thick), MAX 5.5″ (1.5″ thick)
  • Fire performance: Ignition Resistant, Class A Flame Spread Rating, and WUI Compliant

Landmark Collection®

Crosscut Hardwoods

For homeowners drawn to the look of white oak and walnut. The Landmark Collection uses a crosscut cathedral grain with a natural matte finish and cascading color blending, so you get subtle board-to-board variation without the drama of a highly rustic product. Quiet, architectural, and very much at home on a modern or transitional Wisconsin house.

  • Colors: French White Oak®, Boardwalk®, Castle Gate™, American Walnut®
  • Widths: Standard 5.5″ (all colors)
  • Fire performance: Ignition Resistant, Class A Flame Spread Rating, and WUI Compliant

Harvest+ Collection

Understated Cathedral Grain

Harvest+ brings the character of gently worn hardwoods to your deck — a beautifully aged patina and a lived-in look, achieved through artful layering of open and cathedral graining under a low-gloss finish. Blended coloring with subtle highlights, lowlights, and tonal variation.

  • Colors: Toasted Wheat, Timber Gray
  • Widths: Standard width and thickness; available regionally
  • Fire performance: Class A Flame Spread Rating, WUI Compliant

Harvest Collection®

Refined Cathedral Grain

The soft, inviting, versatile option. Solid, gentle coloring with varying cathedral peaks that suits a wide range of home styles — and a straightforward, uncomplicated look that ages well.

  • Colors: Slate Gray, Brownstone, Kona®
  • Widths: Standard 5.5″; Slate Gray and Brownstone also available in Wide 7.25″; MAX 5.5″ (1.5″ thick)
  • Fire performance: Class B Flame Spread Rating, WUI Compliant

Porch Collection

Hardwoods & Stained Wood

All the beauty and performance of Advanced PVC, in a tongue-and-groove profile built for porches. The T&G installation creates smaller gaps between boards for a traditional porch-floor look — ideal for covered porches and screened-in patios, three-season sunrooms, and screen rooms — all of which we build.

  • Colors: Oyster®, Slate Gray, Coastline®, Cypress®, Weathered Teak®, Mahogany, Dark Hickory, English Walnut®
  • Widths: Standard 3.125″ in all colors; Wide 5.5″ in Coastline, Cypress, Dark Hickory, English Walnut, Mahogany, and Weathered Teak
  • Fire performance: Class B Flame Spread Rating, WUI Compliant
  • Also available in cladding

What Advanced PVC Makes Possible

Because the boards are heat-bendable and come in multiple widths, Advanced PVC opens up design moves that simply aren’t available in composite:

  • Curved deck edges and radiused picture frames that follow a pool, a patio, or a bay window
  • Multi-width field patterns — wide boards in the main field, narrow accent bands at transitions
  • Continuous, splice-free runs finished with breaker boards rather than random butt joints
  • Matching fascia, riser boards, and cladding so stairs and perimeters read as one piece
  • Porch and three-season room floors in tongue-and-groove, matched to the adjoining deck

Every M2 deck is picture-framed as standard and built without butt-joint splices — see Superior Building Methods for how. If your deck sits over a walk-out or patio, pair it with under-deck drainage to make the space below usable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not the way most people mean it. Older “vinyl decking” earned a reputation for looking artificial and getting hot. TimberTech Advanced PVC by AZEK is a modern engineered product with wire-brushed and cathedral-grain surface textures, multitonal color blending, and Cool Touch technology. Look at a Vintage or Landmark sample before you decide.

It stays up to 30° cooler than the competition, which is a genuine advantage — but all decking gets warm in direct sun, and darker colors get warmer than lighter ones. For a full-sun deck where kids and pets go barefoot, we’ll usually suggest Coastline, Slate Gray, French White Oak, or Oyster.

Very well. There’s no wood fiber to absorb meltwater and expand during freeze-thaw cycles. Use a plastic shovel and a non-corrosive, calcium-chloride-based ice melt — never rock salt or a metal blade.

Yes. It’s heat-bendable, which is how curved deck perimeters and radiused picture frames get built. It’s specialty work, and it adds cost, but it’s real.

No sanding, staining, or sealing — ever. Rinse it, and wash it seasonally with TimberTech Deck Cleaner to clear pollen, dirt, and shade mold. That’s it.

See the full side-by-side comparison. Less than most homeowners expect as a share of total project cost, because framing, footings, railing, and stairs make up the majority of a deck budget. We’ll price your deck both ways so you can see the actual difference on your project.

Yes — TimberTech railing systems, integrated low-voltage LED lighting, matching fascia and riser boards, and hidden fasteners. See Railing, Lighting & Finishing Touches.
